My story

I’m Melissa. Twenty years ago I lost 70 kilos — and never gained it back.

No surgery, no medication, no 30-day program. Just a long, honest process of building habits that could last a lifetime — and a mindset shift that changed everything. This is how it happened.

Psychology, not guesswork
Where it started

Like most people — with everything that doesn’t work.

I’d tried the quick fixes, the extreme plans, the all-or-nothing thinking — like most people do. Every one of them worked, for a while. And every one of them ended the same way: the plan stopped, and the weight came back. None of it lasted, because none of it was ever built to.

So I started over, slower. No surgery, no medication, no program promising results in 30 days. Just a long stretch of trial and error — figuring out, through lived experience, which foods actually worked for my body and which didn’t, and what changed my relationship with food and movement versus what was just noise.

Somewhere in that process, the real shift happened — not in what I was eating, but in how I thought about it.

“I lost 70 kilos — and never regained it. I’ve kept it off and maintained it for 20 years, and counting.”

I still ate the foods I loved the whole way through — takeaways, treats, all of it. I never cut anything out completely, because I learned how to fit those things in, not just how to avoid them. That’s what I teach: nutrition and movement in a way that’s realistic, never extreme, so you can navigate any situation — a birthday, a bad week, a holiday — without it derailing everything.

That’s the gap nobody in this industry talks about. Anyone can help you lose weight for a season. I coach people to keep it off for good — because I’ve lived on the other side of that for two decades, not two months.

Twenty years, in three chapters

The proof is the timeline.

Before-and-afters are everywhere in this industry. What you almost never see is the photo taken twenty years later — because almost nobody gets there. That’s the photo that matters.

Lived experience, backed by study

The psychology isn’t guesswork.

Qualified

Bachelor of Psychological Science — alongside 20 years of lived experience losing the weight and keeping it off. I understand both the practical side of habits and food, and the psychology behind why they’re so hard to change — the motivation, the setbacks, the self-talk — and I bring that into every session.
